New Feature: Pours

Today’s new feature is pours. This PCB editor tool lets you place a polygonal area of copper to cover your board. It automatically creates an adjustable clearance around your traces, and can be connected to a net.

Using pours is easy. First, select the pour tool from the left toolbar in the PCB editor. Next, draw the outline of your pour. Finally, double click the pour outline to open the pour inspector.

In the pour inspector, you can set the visibility of the pour using the eye icon, and regenerate the pour using the ‘Regenerate Pour’ button. You can also adjust the pour’s trace clearance, and set which net the pour is connected to.

The pour tool is live in the PCB editor now, so you can use it in your designs right away.
